TomoDomo (共 々) means “together” in Japanese, Tomo (共) by itself stands for friend and community.

We started this company to create homes for people to connect with each other, enjoy life and grow from shared experiences.

We are more than happy that you are joining this community and that you bring your unique talents, your dreams, your ideas and your joyfulness to the group.

Patricija - Hospitality Manager of Domo Le Flux

Helen is the Hospitality Manager at TomoDomo Banyan. She is your go-to person and looks forward to helping you settle in and thrive here.

Important Information for your move

1
Before your arrival
  • Download the Slack app and join our Slack channel using this link.


  • Please sign up as soon as possible and introduce yourself in the #introduction channel with a short message.


  • You’ll receive all necessary move-in details a few days before your arrival. Please let us know your arrival date so we can prepare accordingly.


  • Please bring your own bedding, duvet, and pillow.


  • Curtains:

  • Standard suites include built-in shutters, so curtains are generally not provided.


  • Blackout Suites: Suites 101, 132, 201, 232, 301, 401, and 430 do not have built-in shutters on all windows; TomoDomo provides blackout curtains for these suites.


  • ALL OTHER SUITES (If you would like to have curtains in addition to the built-in shutters) :


  • Recommendations: For all other rooms, we recommend IKEA "MAJGULL" blackout curtains (145x300 cm) and "TRÖSTA" gliders/hooks.

  • One curtain package contains two curtain panels. One pack of hooks contains 20 hooks and gliders. This is exactly enough for one large front window. (For Pillar Suites, additional measurements needed, we will update this here as soon as possible)

Arrival
  • Your check-in is possible from 12:00 PM, as stated in your lodging agreement.


  • Arrival by own car/Uber/Taxi: The address is Schärenmoosstrasse 99, 8052 Zürich


  • Temporary Unloading: You may park directly in front of the main entrance for 5–10 minutes to unload your belongings. Please move your vehicle immediately afterward to keep the access clear.


  • Upon arrival, check your room and report any damages or questions via: hub.tomodomo.ch

Keep it clean
  • One of the key parts of living together is creating a tidy, clean, and welcoming space for everyone.


  • Living with others comes with many benefits, and everyone plays a role in maintaining that “home sweet home” feeling.


  • TomoDomo provides weekly professional cleaning of the shared spaces.


  • However, it's essential that everyone cleans as they go and helps keep spaces tidy.


  • We follow the rule: Leave the space better than you found it, especially after hosting guests or an event.

Community & Socializing
  • One of the most beloved activities in coliving is: cooking, inspiring, chatting (and cleaning!) together.


  • We believe sharing a meal is one of the best ways to build a sense of home and community.


  • It’s a time to relax, reflect on your day, and connect with others.


  • Check the #events channel on Slack for upcoming dinners and gatherings.


  • Planning something yourself? Please post it so others can join in.


  • External guests should be announced in the #visitors Slack channel.

The Building & Facilities
  • Heating Tip: If you feel your room is too cold, please check the radiator (convector) behind the metal cover. The metal cover itself does not get warm. Ensure the regulator is turned to the maximum setting.

Emergency / Locked out?

Locked out of your room?


  • Call the Emergency Hotline (24/7): +41 44 589 61 16 to gain access to the lockbox with the emergency key inside

  • The emergency key is located in a lockbox inside of a letterbox, labelled: "Briefkasten 4", in front of the building.


  • If your key has been lost, let us know as soon as possible

  • Non-urgent issues:
    We are more than happy to assist you during office hours (Monday–Friday, 08:30 - 17:00)


👉 Remember: Your safety is the priority. For all urgent situations, act immediately and call the emergency services.

Parking
  • Pfizer Parking: All outdoor parking spots on the ground floor belong to Pfizer and are strictly off-limits.


  • Underground Parking: To apply for a permanent spot in our underground garage, please fill out this [Application Form].


  • Public Parking: For blue zones, please check the [Züriplan].


  • Daily Permits: You can apply for city daily parking permits [Here].

Storage Room
  • You can store your suitcases and other belongings in the shared storage room (-3)


  • Please label everything you bring into storage and be mindful of the space for others.



  • With our partner PlaceB, you can rent additional storage space.

Waste, Garbage & Recycling
  • Only use  "Züri Säcke" - the official Zurich garbage bags 


  • Please buy your own for your personal trash, the ones in the kitchens are bought with the shared commuity budget 



  • Illegally disposed waste is not permitted and will be fined.


  • Recycling has never been easier, thanks to our partner WeRecycle

  • Recycling Pickup: Our cleaning team picks up the "WeRecycle" bags every Thursday. You do not need to dispose of these yourself.


  • The WeRecycle bins can be found in the kitchen. Carboard needs to be recycled seperately in order to save space. 


  • Disposal location: Please bring your full Züri bags to the ground floor and place them in the large containers next to the Co-Working.

Registration
  • You can register at the City of Zurich using your residency permit / lodging agreement.


  • Swiss citizens can also register online

Kitchen Storage
  • You will find a compartment in the fridge labeled with your room number. Others, which have no label or are marked as 'Shared Shelf,' are for everyone. 


  • Please just put a date on the product in the 'Shared Shelves' so we can keep an overview. 


  • The community will help you find the right space

Bicycle storage
  • Bicycle storage is in the underground garage (-1)


  • Access from outside: Enter code C9999 and press “OK” to open the Parking Garage Door.


  • We recommend using a bicycle lock

Final Cleaning
  • Please leave your room tidy and clean so our team can do a great job


  • The final cleaning fee was already charged when you moved in


  • In case of extra effort (e.g. descaling, unclogging drains, stain or mold removal), an additional minimum fee of CHF 80/hour will apply

Mailboxes
  • There is one mailbox for each floor outside of the building and a designated mail compartment assigned to each room, which can be found at the kitchen.


  • When emptying the mailbox, please always take all the mail and place it in the designated mail compartments.

Shared Community Budget
  • CHF 15 per month per person


  • Used for cleaning supplies, trash bags, oil, spices, coffee, etc.


  • One person coordinates shopping - reach out to Helen if you’d like to help

Payments
  • Your first invoice must be paid in full before checking in


  • You’ll receive a monthly invoice - payment is due on the 1st of each month


  • We recommend opening a Swiss bank account to avoid any additional fees

Insurance & Damages
  • Accidents happen: you might leave a hot pan on the kitchen counter or drop something heavy on the floor. These small accidents cyn lead to big costs!


  • That’s why we partnered with Calingo Insurance to offer you an excellent plan


  • It’s valid even after you leave TomoDomo!

Departure & Booking Termination
  • The notice period for your booking is 2 months effective at the end of the calendar month when the termination is submitted


  • Please let us know as soon as possible when you would to like leave our community so we have more time to find great new people to move in
