  • Coliving is for people who enjoy living with others and like being part of a community. We share our living space to build relationships, share experiences and grow as a community.

The average age of our guests is between 26 and 36. However, we also have guests who are much younger or older, because age matters less than attitude and the joy of living in a community.

Children are welcome to visit, but cannot move in.

  • Living as a couple in a coliving house is a wonderful experience. Therefore, some of our rooms allow for double occupancy.

  • Yes, you can register your residence with our properties and also receive your correspondence here. You can not register before your move-in date.

  • No, unfortunately we cannot allow pets in our buildings due to space limitations for the animals, allergies and cleanliness.

  • Your guests are welcome to stay with you for up to 7 nights.

As a courtesy, please inform the other community members if you plan to have a guest.

You are responsible for their actions so make sure that your guest will follow the community rules.

  • We conduct a personal interview with all applicants to get to know them better and to find out if they are a good fit for the community.
    To apply click here.

  • The monthly cost includes your room, furniture, electricity, heat, water, wifi, cleaning of common areas, as well as the use of the washer and dryer. Each house has a fund for common expenses (trash bags, cleaning supplies, spices, etc.), these contributions are separate from the cost of your room and usually amount to CHF 15 per month.

We do charge a one time service fee of CHF 279.- to pay for the administrative tasks involved in welcoming you to TomoDomo. The remainder of this fee is used to organize community events and provide benefits to enhance your coliving experience. This fee is due upon your reservation.

The refundable deposit is CHF 600.- also due upon your arrival.

  • Our common areas are cleaned once a week by a cleaning team. Besides that it is important that every guest pays attention to the cleanliness in the house and cleans up just after cooking. You can book a weekly room cleaning for CHF 150 per month.

  • We are happy that you want to help building the community. There are several ways to do this: You can become a kitchen representative. This means that you will be the first point of contact for our community members. Each building has its own Community Facilitator. Talk to us for more information.

Of course, you can also get involved in the community on a smaller scale. For example, play a concert, organize an evening together, or something else. There are almost no limits to your imagination! 😃

  • We have parking spaces at Domo Tenna and Vuelo. The fee is CHF 160 per month. Unfortunately we do not have parking spaces at our Domos in Zurich City.

  • Depending on availability, you can often move in immediately. In Domo Vuelo, Tenna and Fabric the notice period is two months. At Domo X-TRA, le Flux and Central the contracts are on a month-to-month basis.

  • We understand that it is often very convenient to pay by credit card, paypal, TWINT, etc. but due to the high fees involved with receiving such payments (3.5% or more), we can only accept direct bank transfers to our account to receive payments for your room.

We understand that making a cross-border financial transaction can still be a bit challenging even today, so we have listed the best options for you to do this here:

    Use a Swiss bank account:

The best way to pay for your room, quickly receive your deposit after your stay and save on transaction fees is by opening a Swiss bank account. We can highly recommend Neon bank that makes this process very easy, fast and secure.

Use a bank account within the European Union / SEPA area:

If you have a bank account within the European Union and some other countries, then you can transfer funds without any additional fees to and from Switzerland using SEPA payments.
You will have to follow these simple steps:

    1. Your bank must be part of the SEPA system. You can check this here.

    2. The payment must be made in EUR, not in CHF. Please use this currency calculator here to calculate the correct amount in EUR.

    3. You must select "shared fees" or "SHA" when entering the payment.

If there is a currency discrepancies due to the conversion we will let you know. If you sent us too little, you can transfer the amount with the next invoice. If you send too much, we will refund you the amount.

Use WISE to transfer funds from outside the European Union:

The third option will be to use the payment provider WISE to make a transfer e.g. from the US, China, India, Australia, Brazil or any other country.

The benefit of Wise is that you usually save on the transaction fees compared to making a direct transfer from your bank to Switzerland which is sometimes not even possible.
You will find all details to open an account, etc. on their website.

We highly recommend to open a Swiss account during your stay in Switzerland which will facilitate the refund of your deposit.
