Once you confirm your booking with us you will receive your first invoice.
We understand that it is often very convenient to pay by credit card, paypal, TWINT, etc. but due to the high fees involved with receiving such payments (3.5% or more), we can only accept direct bank transfers to our account to receive payments for your room.
We understand that making a banking transfer can still be a bit challenging even today, so we have listed the best options for you to do this here:
Use a Swiss bank account:
The best way to pay for your room, quickly receive your deposit after your stay and save on transaction fees is by opening a Swiss bank account. We can highly recommend Neon bank that makes this process very easy, fast and secure. For payments within Switzerland you can use the QR-invoice and conveniently scan the QR-code with your mobile to make the transaction.
Use a bank account within the European Union / SEPA area:
If you have a bank account within the European Union and some other countries, then you can transfer funds without any additional fees to and from Switzerland using SEPA payments. You will have to follow these simple steps:
Your bank must be part of the SEPA system. You can check this here.
The payment must be made in EUR, not in CHF. Please use this currency calculator here to calculate the correct amount in EUR.
You must select "shared fees" or "SHA" when entering the payment.
If there is a currency discrepancies due to the conversion we will let you know. If you sent us too little, you can transfer the amount with the next invoice. If you send too much, we will refund you the amount.
Note: For transactions from outside of Switzerland you must use the separate payment instructions that are listed on the invoice.
Use WISE to transfer funds from outside the European Union:
The third option will be to use the payment provider WISE to make a transfer e.g. from the US, China, India, Australia, Brazil or any other country.
The benefit of Wise is that you usually save on the transaction fees compared to making a direct transfer from your bank to Switzerland which is sometimes not even possible. You will find all details to open an account, etc. on their website.
Please note that you will also need to use the separate payment instructions for payments from a foreign bank account. These are listed on the invoice.
Other
Unfortunately we can't cover any of the transaction fees that may be charged by the banks. Standard transactions within Switzerland and using SEPA are free of charge. In any case we highly recommend to use a Swiss account which will also facilitate the refund of your deposit.
